FAQ about JavaSoy®
What is JavaSoy®?
Finally, good coffee that's good for you. JavaSoy®, is a blend of top quality, Colombian
Arabica coffee and a special selected variety of non-GMO roasted soybeans. With our
roots in the seed business, we screen up to 1000 different varieties of soybeans for
food purposes every year. Some make better tofu, others make better soymilk. But up
until now, none made a good cup of coffee. After narrowing the list down to less than
a dozen, we gave the samples to our roaster. While using the variety that we suspected
would be the best, our roaster stumbled across an unusual roasting process, almost
by accident. The process worked, and they were able to blend the coffee and the
roasted soy together to make a good cup of coffee that tasted only like coffee, not
soycoffee. When the roaster tried to duplicate the process using the remaining
varieties, they were unable to duplicate the results. The combination of a unique
soybean variety, developed by our parent company's exclusive breeding program, and
a very inventive roaster with a passion for quality, resulted in good coffee that's
good for you.
Why is JavaSoy® good for me?
Since JavaSoy® is a blend of Colombian Arabica coffee and unique food grade soy, each
8oz. serving contains No carbohydrates, No fats, No sugars, and half the caffeine.
Much research has been done and new research continues to suggest many health benefits
in the prevention and/or treatment of coronary heart disease, breast, colon and prostate
cancer, and osteoporosis. Studies also indicate that soy may help reduce cholesterol
levels, reduce prostate problems, reduce "hot flashes" in post-menopausal women, and be
an alternative to hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Endless information of the benefits
of soy is widely available on the web and in print. And JavaSoy® still tastes like
good coffee!
What does JavaSoy® taste like?
Since JavaSoy® is made with top grade Colombian Arabica coffee, it tastes like coffee.
JavaSoy® uses top quality all-natural flavors to make our flavored coffees. You may
prefer French Vanilla, Caramel Cream, Vanilla Hazelnut, or one of our other
exceptional flavors.
How much caffeine does JavaSoy® have?
JavaSoy® has about half the caffeine as regular coffee. If you like coffee, but have
to quit to soon, now you can drink JavaSoy® longer, if you like caffeine, JavaSoy® has
it, just not as much. We also have a new decaf version.
How do I make JavaSoy®?
The best way to make JavaSoy® is in a drip coffee-maker. Percolators tend to heat the
water too hot and pump coffee back through the grounds over and over.
How much JavaSoy® do I use?
Treat JavaSoy® just like the coffee you used to drink. Our staff likes it slightly
on the strong side, but they prefer their coffee that way also.
Does JavaSoy® use GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms) soybeans?
No. All of Adler Foods products are made with non-GMO soybeans. Our parent company,
Adler Seeds, operates an exclusive food grade soybean breeding program, under the
guidance of our own Dr. Doug Nesbitt, Ph.D. A talented soybean breeder, Dr. Nesbitt
consults with food processors to determine what traits would make their products
superior, and then breeds and screens different varieties to fit the need. It is
a concept of quality control carried to the extreme. And since the variety we use
is a secret, Adler Seeds maintains complete control of production through their
own farms and conditioning facilities.
