History of JavaSoy®

Chronology. JavaSoy is a product of Adler Foods, whose roots can be traced back to Adler Seeds (a separate company today). Adler Seeds was born in 1937 when Howard Adler planted his first acre of seed corn. JavaSoy was first developed in 2002. Adler Foods merged with Kelley Farms in 2005.

Science. Dr. Doug Nesbitt, Ph.D. a soybean plant breeder for Adler Seeds, began working on developing a better tasting and high quality food grade soybean with the intention of marketing it for use in tofu and soy milk. Through extensive plant breeding, he accumulated a large inventory of different food grade soybean varieties and from these, a special high protein soybean with great taste was discovered.

Food Products. The Adler Foods division was formed to develop food products promoting healthy diets using this unique non-GMO Adler soybean. JavaSoy® coffee was developed in cooperation with a gourmet coffee roaster and was introduced with other soybean products at the Indiana State Fair in 2002.

JavaSoy® Coffee. The response to JavaSoy® coffee was so positive that it became the lead soy product of Adler Foods. The special roast and grind of this unique soybean blended with top quality Colombian Arabica coffee beans results in a healthy, great tasting coffee that has no fat, no carbohydrates and no sugars per 8oz serving.

Process. The soybeans are ground and roasted by our world class coffee roaster using a special roasting process developed just for this soybean. The result is a great tasting coffee.

We believe Adler Foods' JavaSoy® coffee is the only product that provides a super cup of gourmet coffee that tastes great and also includes all the healthy benefits of soy.
